BITHYNIA, Tium. Domitian. AD 81-96. Æ 33mm (26.00 g). Laureate head right / ZΕΥΣ ΣΥΡΓΑΣΤΗΣ ΤΕΙΑΝΩΝ, Zeus Syrgastes standing left, holding patera and sceptre; eagle(?) left at feet. RPC II 700; RG -; BMC p. 203, 3; Lindgren and Kovacs 191 (this coin). Near VF, tan-brown patina. Extremely rare - according to RPC one of only three known, the other two in museums (British Museum and Staatliche Museen, Berlin).From the Garth R. Drewry Collection.
